Laurie hails from our area, but has lived in Boston and Washington, D.C., where she ran her own design business called “Design for Life” and completed projects from New York City to Hilton Head. She was also co-owner/developer of “Little River Crossing, LLC” a developer of an environmentally-responsible “Aging in Place” concept community. Laurie has a degree in Interior Design from York Academy of Art and studied Sustainable Community Development at University of Massachusetts where she received the Foster Furcolo Scholarship Award. She has built three homes and restored an antique Colonial, giving her the ability to envision how a home will live from the studs in. Laurie believes that the home is a sacred place: it’s not only our public face, but more importantly, the backdrop for most of our lifetime memories.
Laurie's Design Philosophy
“It’s all about you and it’s all about ease. True luxury is comfort and I begin by fitting you for your furniture like a good shoe. Ease is a philosophy, not a particular design style – done properly, you live effortlessly in your home. A specific strength is being able to channel your taste to get the look, feel and livability of your room just right. My passion is putting you over the moon about your home and to make the process fun!”
