What's Your Style No. 4 - Rethinking Bedside Tables

Posted by Gracie Willoughby on

I think the thing I love most about interior design is the truth that the expression of your style is the key element. Finding what your style is can be the challenge. An open mind to consider a need and match it to your style is the definition of perfection.
If you haven't worked with an interior designer, I highly recommend you put any fears and preconceived ideas of what that entails aside. You will thank yourself every time you walk into your beautiful room, built by the partnership of you and your Davids designer.
To explore how we consider the need of our client and match it to their style, let's explore the bedside table. Dictation of the obvious says this should be a nightstand. But is that your style?
The function of a bedside table is to hold lighting to read by, an inspiring book or magazine, something to pamper us: soothing music and such, something to wake us to a new day, and other needs we choose. This does not a nightstand define.

So why let it pigeonhole us into what piece of furniture we select for our bedside table. Are you feeling that? An almost giddiness to this new found freedom?

Be inspired! Rethink the bedside table.
